We’re the Hoisington’s! Spencer Joii + Kyle = love + Talon + Cohen = even more love.
– MOTHERHOOD –
The days when you’re standing in the daycare parking lot, crying outside your car because your toddler refuses to buckle up in their car seat. Those moments when you want to run away to swim in an ocean of margaritas. The nights when you let them stay up playing on their tablet because it’s easier than fighting them at bedtime. The moments you catch yourself arguing over chicken nuggets and oranges and have to remind yourself that you’re the adult. The nights where you want your bed space back instead of learning how to sleep on the edge. BUT then you remember your babies won’t always be babies and you have those nights where you stay up late with them, cuddling in bed, watching a movie + they fall asleep next to you – that’s when you wonder how you got so lucky.
– BOYS & MEN –
That Venus & Mars thing is actually a thing. There are certain things we’ll never understand about the opposite sex. We’re complex in different ways. It doesn’t matter how many times you talk about those certain things, you’ll still leave the conversation with a question mark on your forehead. I live in a house full of males and struggle to understand them daily. One: the bathroom always smelling like pee no matter how many times you clean it. Two: they have no fear and don’t always look at the outcome of things. They just jump without thinking. Three: How our laundry baskets are full at the end of the day, I have no idea. Maybe it’s the mud, oil and dirt they get into? I’m learning to live life to the fullest, spontaneously, and to laugh at myself. Even if I have to get my hands dirty, I love trying to see things through the eyes of Mars.
– MODERN FAMILY –
A year out of an abusive relationship, I met Kyle. Talon was one… We were a package deal. Kyle stepped up as a father figure and it was the best thing that happened to us. A year later, we had Cohen. We got married November 19, 2017. We just moved into a new house Summer 2018. Renovating one room at a time.
